About the Author

About the author

Vijay Sheth has over three decades of experience in practicing industrial engineering. He has worked in various production facilities, such as aeronautics and missile production, fuzing, electronics, paperboard, converting, automatic exhaust, textile machinery and material handling equipment, and pressure cylinder fabrication. This experience has been gained in India and the USA. Mr. Sheth graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel University. He received his Masters degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. Mr. Sheths broad experience and educational background qualifies him to author this valuable publication particularly for Indian students. He is the author of the book, Facility Planning and Materials Handling, and is a contributing author to the Handbook of Manufacturing Engineering, both of which have been published by Marcel Dekker, Inc., USA.
